Of course I sometimes make use of it. With my 8KX it is something.
BUT
it is all still misleading for constant usage.

  • no solution for a haptical keyboard or (MR required) Mouse and Knuckles to be combined?
  • I have two 4K monitors, the VR room does not have an equivalent resolution, yet.
  • If try to work, the windows resolution even for one VR Desktop not sufficient for me.
  • constant working is to much straining, even if you use a lift desk. Everything is about the head straps, moisture, weight of the HUD, etc.

With something like a 12K, if lightweight, a VR monitorless system could be imagined, at least for some hours, but not a working day.
So, finaly, no, not a true replacement but a temorary experience.

Yeah the whole monitor replacement idea I think is still aways away for a realistic option at least like you said over a long period of use per day

Likely while MS bailed on their MR headsets in part.
